The 18th Annual Parkville Jazz/Blues and Fine Arts River Jam

Parkville, MO: The Parkville Community Development Corporation and all the volunteers of the Jazz/Blues and Fine Arts River Jam planning committee proudly announce the 18th annual Jazz/Blues and Fine Arts River Jam on June 14th and 15th  at English landing Park in Parkville, MO.  In part due to continued support of Sponsors and our dedicated volunteers this is the longest running Jazz/Blues festival in the area.

Nine national, regionally and locally acclaimed Blues and Jazz bands will perform at this year’s event.  Our line-up features Knock Kneed Sally, Scottyboy Daniel’s Blues Band, Lee McBee & the Confessor’s, Everette DeVan, Lonesome Hank & the Heartaches, “200 Proof” W/Big John Amaro, Book of Gaia, and the Bel Airs.

Whether decorating a new home or just acquiring that “one of a kind” painting we also showcase a juried art show from artists whose work will be on display and for sale throughout the festival.  Such artists, many of whom are returning by popular demand, include Robert Dixon (photography), Cain Fushion (Fused Glass), Steve Talley (Cigar Box Guitars), and Gretchen Houck Lawless (Jewelry). With pottery, acrylics, landscapes and portraits by many others.  It’s time to support the Arts by starting or adding to your collection.

It is hoped  Historical Parkville will continue to be the destination to spend the day shopping and dining with a wide variety of shops, including clothing, re-sale, antiques /collectibles home furnishing and an eclectic array of restaurants to satisfy any appetite.  Let’s break the mall habit and enjoy the start of summer supporting the Historical district.  “Mom and pop” stores are just part of the scene in Parkville, we’ve added the “kids” too.
